LOTF is a horribly written source, but 5017 is a nice client version to work with if you like some of the Conquer 2.0 features but not the later ones.

CoEmu is a horribly written source, the only advantage of it over other server source is the fact that it has the new encryption built in.

Binaries, well what can i say, its already done for you, so wheres the fun in that?

I didnt say LOTF was good, i said it was good to work with, not it was a good source. I mean is easy, omg

CoEmu is not horrible written. It works fine and better then LOTF.

Binaries aren't written theya re just leeged from some chineses

While I'm aware of the fact that CoEmu is far from perfectly coded... it is the best coded PUBLIC source that has features released for it that people here can use.

Unless these people are comfortable with writing their own source (regardless of if they are using samples of codes from other sources), CoEmu is the best option they have really.


Now that will obviously change someday when someone who knows what they are doing decides to get out of pserver development and releases a well coded source that has features in it... but I wouldn't hold my breath. So far all I've seen released is a bunch of reworked flawed versions of old sources... rather depressing really.

when someone says "Hey im making a team, for a LOTF server" that's saying "Hey, im making a team for a server that can't hold 50 players, so what i'm really saying is that i'm making a fail team"
