That's what I was looking for thank you. But when I go there and enter the info it loads forever... any ideas?

@Blade, install wampserver, it is better than AppServer.
But still, what ever you use. From now on type localhost/phpmyadmin in your browser, if that's slow, it has to do with your computer I guess.

or firewalls/anti virus can block out connections and just make it sit there
