As for the topic, and this is strictly my personal opinion:
Egyptian people use exploits,Turkish people use exploits, German people use exploits, hell even Indians now know how to exploit, rofl.

People downloaded the "stolen" files for free, and most of them are under 20 yo with -9001 IQ. So, don't expect them to play nice nor fair.

This is the Internet, there are no rules nor laws to control this, otherwise, there wouldn't be a "private server" section at all ;)

To summarize, there are 2 reasons that people are really doing this for :
-Greed aka MOAR MONEY.
-Abandonment by parents / attention seeking.

Anyways, if it would actually be used to clean the shitty servers and keep this section clean it would be awesome but instead people just do it for the sake of doing it.

On the other hand, if you have no protection, don't even think about having a long lasting server, even the so called players exploit the shit out of servers nowadays so if it's not the DDOS it would be someone/something else.
