Close all threads in SRO advertisement and start again

I don't think the point is that us moderators can't handle the section, it's more of the fact that people are now used to writing less than 400 words for their advertisement thread, which doesn't explain anything, their gameplay, their features and etc. And yes, dimka is right, by looking at the thread design (sadly) you can tell which server is worth playing or not. That's why I proposed a mass closure, so people can start putting more effort into their threads.


EDIT: radde94 - I don't think adding more moderators would be a suitable proposition. The reason a LOT more threads have been getting closed recently is because I've been browsing threads in my free time, and picking ones out which violated the rules. It's easier that way.

To be honest, people can just create spam accs and vote yes or no. It's easier to just close all threads which is dead (servers down) websites down, cause they need to go through everything anyway.

Views aren't really a neccessity. Let's say this idea does work - and we close all the threads. What's stopping you from opening a new thread (copy+pasting from your old one, ofcourse) making a few minor changes and improvements then posting it?

Just to clear this up a bit, people seem to be getting a little confused :P


by closing, I don't mean removing. I mean simply closing all advertisement threads to date, giving users 2-3 days to re-write their threads (which will follow our newly implemented plagurism rule) and then start over. Threads will NOT be getting deleted/removed.

Oh so you are saying that all threads will close again, because you understand that all these guys will just Re-do what they have been doing now for the past 3 months or so? How are you planning to stop it? By cleaning all threads is not a solution.

What about close the dead ones, and make so you have to approve new threads into this section instead. That will solve the problem permanently.
