There are still some Layer 4 attacks which ovh dont block or they failt at it. Even some spoofed syn attacks are not really blocked, they reach sometimes even the VAC is up or the VAC filter the attack traffic but block all new connections even they are clean. This was the reason why many servers call ovh shit cause their login server was offline. I read something in the patchlogs of their Firewall, that they work against it now.

S4p erlaubt auf vservern und deren webspaces kein mt2 Zeugs aber auf den dedis von ovh die angeboten werden schon. Eterhost bietet vserver an mit der ovh protection und scheinbar managen sie diese auch noch was bei anderen hostern um die 100€ mehr im Monat kosten kann.

Angriffe werden momentan eher schwächer da die ganzen booter/stresser schlechter werden und die Kinder hier dann nix mehr haben.

Ganze ist geschrieben von meinem Handy aus wer Rechtschreibfehler oder sonst was findet darf sich freuen.

Are there traffic limitations on your VPSes? AFAIK there are non on OVH dedicated servers so I assume there aren't any on your products, are there?

BTW your company information wrong. Wales is not a part of England but a member of the United Kingdom.

I personally dislike "managed" servers or activities of my provider's staff on my servers, but that's probably due to my sufficient skills in doing shit myself.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake in the company information.

No, there's no traffic limitation.

We do not really provide a managed service but our guarantee to keep your server running may require us to access the server when you are unable to diagnose / solve the problem yourself. Of course this is done only with your express authorization. Only default passwords are kept on our records and once you change them we cannot access your virtual machine unless you provide us with the password yourself.

Habe auch überlegt bei Eterhost zu hosten. Bissher überzeugt es mich!

I don't want to say, that hostings, witch are here in epvp are bad, please don't misunderstand me. When a Person here in epvp has a Problem with you, and will buy a server from you and maybe he will insult you, then the most of the "Hosters" here will block their server. I can't say, that you will do the same.

Ja, da geb ich dir recht, ich kann jetzt hier auch nicht über die Reife von Shogun o.ä. mich bekennen, da ich diese Person nicht kenne, jedoch kennst du das von den meisten Elitepvpers-Hostings sicherlich, dass diese direkt den Server sperren, sobald irgendwie beleidigt wird (habe ich oben alles erklärt).
Bevor sowas in einem Projekt passiert, würde ich jedoch eher zu bekannteren Anbietern tendieren.

That wouldn't be very professional. Actually I have more than one customer who dislikes me personally yet use the service. A customer will only be suspended for failing payment or if we get an abuse report for something that is against our user policy, and in both cases, he will be allowed temporary access if he wishes to backup his files.

Wen man z.B ein Server machen will und der zum serverstart ca 250+ Spieler erwartet ,
ist bistimmt klar das man ddos bekommt , reicht dnn so ein Server von '' eterhost '' denn ddos standzuhalten ?

We only offer VPS at the moment. This is enough for 99% of private servers. One advantage of VPS over dedicated is that you can upgrade your resources at any time only paying the difference.

If there's a DDoS attack and we are unable to stop it you get your money back. However we have around 100 customers and this never happened.
