I get notified in my CP if there is a new reply in a subscribed thread. Also auto-subscribtions.

You get informed if someone wrote something to someone in a subscripted thread/forum, that's different. We talking about to get informed if someone is talking directly to you.

Dunno, maybe you can bury in the deepest parts of this website, you'll surely find dozens of abandoned thread corpses regarding this feature. Enjoy.

i didn't try to get notifcations in my ipod or iphone ,but i must subscribe in a thread to get notifications ? :confused:

You can enable auto-subscriptions in the settings -> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

With this option enabled, you subscribe to every topic you post in automatically. Then you can choose whether you want to be notified via eMail or not, and you're good to go.

There's a slight problem with this. Subscribing to each topic that you post in can cause massive spam on your mobile. I'm subscribed to 5-6 threads in total, and I still have around 30 messages each day from it. So I suggest subscribing to personal threads, once you get a reply, or feel like it needs to be closed, un-subscribe from it.

There is no need a poll. It will be for sure a helpful feature, also for users who say they don't need. It's totally ok to keep informed expecially in a forum.

Not having a poll is also useful for users whom are collecting suggestions, not opinions.
