Guys can u tell us whats in ur lmhosts (the driver/etc thingie) cuz i still cant get these hacks to work, i still get dont send errors, heres 2 possibilities to why it wont work:

I still dont have the correct lines in lmhosts

or

Its because i am using service pack 1

when i am opening from this file "firefox.exe" i am getting an empty box.
why?

It doesn't load the interface until you connect to the game server.

there is also the possibility that it only works with the english client..so get it at

Nvm i just fixed it myself lol; to those who have a file called "lmhosts" but no "hosts":

Find a file called "Hosts" in the drivers folder, copy paste it into ur etc folder, then open both lmhosts and hosts using notepad, copy all the crap from lmhosts to hosts; done.

The hosts file and the lmhosts file serve completely different purposes. lmhosts is typically used for workgroup and domains when domain name resolution fails (WINS, DNS lookup, etc). Where the hosts file is for binding hostnames to IP addresses without using domain name resolution.

All you had to do was create a hosts file. Instead, it may be better to use the lmhosts file as an example of how the format for the hosts should be. Since they _almost_ use the same format. The lmhosts has more extended options than the hosts.

Hmmm...eh its been 2 days lol, been trying to solve this one myself.

Well i already made the hack atleast not crash at start up, but now the client gives me "Failed to get host name".

Would someone kindly post what the hosts file should look like (assuming thats the problem =S); if its confidential can someone pm it to me, hope its not too much to ask.

EDIT: Weeeell i'll have to tell u the whole story though - see im using 2 different NINEDRAGON.exe clients, 1 that can find the hosts, but does not connect to the host (thats the one that i downloaded from this forum) then there is another one i got from another forum...and assuming "Failed to find hosts" is easier to solve than the client finds the hosts but doesnt connect to them.

Client 1 (this forum): goes into the log in screen and its cool, i try to connect to bardo it spends a lot of time doing so then does that 15 seconds count down for long connection and then says "failed to connect"

Client 2 (other forum): doesnt make it to log in screen; when the client loads the primary crap at the very beginning it cant even find the hosts list (i.e. bardo and etc).
