I knew it was a matter of time until BoI Oracle Dies

As a web developer and programmer, aside from writing a WOW TBC emulator like 7 years ago, I honestly can say that personally, If I spent $13k per year on a game server, I can tell you now, It "Would" not be down whatsoever... There would be no reason or excuse why someone couldn't afford to put the website on another network and have a development server to test new files..

$13k per year with everything on one server just sounds like a bit of overkill.. I mean, You could have 3 servers with ServerMania, 1 Production, 1 Web and 1 Dev server for a third of what is claimed here..

These replies are rather childish.. Gives you a different view of people who I, until now actually had respect for..

Oh golly, we've got a dumbass over here! Obviously I wasn't referring to $13k/year for ONE single server. Clearly You're not very familiar with BOI/WOI. It takes both Windows and Linux to run them properly. I also included the webserver in that $13k. In total, the bills for the 3 servers combined / month results in a more than $1k/month, so $13k was really just my weak estimate. Could be more, could be less. But it's an estimate.

As for not being able to "put another server on a different network" regarding the Website, You once again display your stupidity. A random harddrive failure isn't something that You can always predict. It happened quite suddenly. But we did immediately order a new server, which unfortunately took a few days to setup because the Hoster's Staff weren't completely available, due to Easter. Now, however, it's up and running just as before.

Also, in regards to "Buying servers to test expansions" -- Don't be stupid. Why would I bother wasting $100-200 on some weakass servers to test an expansion 1 day and leave the other 30 Days of the Billing Contract with the server being unused? That's just silly. Much rather keep the server down for 2h while testing it out, and it worked out just fine.

Power wise oracle is pretty fair to both non-donators and donators. If you do giza/lava u get a lot of gem coins, not to mention farming.

If you want other perks such as pretty pets and pretty mounts then yes it does give more priority to donators obviously.

But if you've been playing for 1 year and only have 58k power that is pretty sad.... I got my alt to 100k power in only a matter of months and I didn't even do gem events regularly.

Try to make what Menoz did and you can comment after that ^.^

1. It's not easy to keep a server alive.
2. If you don't like something on a server , WTF!? leave it and find a better one :)
3. Tell me , have you seen a server where are only non-donators , that was alive more than 1 month ^.^?
4. Everyone can say a bad thing about someone who WORKED!! , but that person can't do even 15% from that thing :)

Whoever started this thread should just disappear or make themselves scarce for a while, if you actually paid attention to the website for details you might have known that he was going to have a new webserver and get things set up and in motion for the new expansion plus I believe he said he had them so he's already testing and making sure things can transfer more easily? The website and forums both had that stated in plain sight. How can you say that it died when it in fact didn't? It's the most populated BOI private server existing right now between the very few idk how many, it's the most friendly to donors and non donors, and it's got so many different things to do with BOI how can you say that it's dead? Maybe to you it's dead because you're a halfwit retarded fuck who can't do shit for himself but cry on there. :) But that's just me

BOI Oracle is shit ok start another server as close as good as this atleast menoz know what hes doing and actually server never goes down unless there is something wrong with system -_- so stfu and its not dead its very much alive :)
