When you talk about an apple you describe it as a type of fruit, not a sort of fruit. So when describing a sword you refer to it as a type of item, not a sort of item.

TQ's failure to use good English doesn't mean you have to do the same.

I get your point, but I still think using "ID" and "UID" is a terrible thing to do. But who cares really, all the pserver sources here on epvp will always be garbage whether they use "ID", "UID", "TypeID", or something entirely different.
