[MUST READ] Lets get together and REVIVE SRO.

Challenge accepted, collect me 100 players who will donate from time to time and I will open such server. Otherwise is not profitable. That's the reality :)

Are you willing to take the pressure to be an admin of a 4,5k players ^^ without being at least tempted to give urself own benefits,also the donation its a big bullshit honestly i alwase hate it and i will continue hate it its poor managment and unfair for some peeps,the donation shoud be builded only for time to time when its really necessary to pay the host but never to own benefits

God damn it. Are you serious? Tell the last sentence to every company which has games - Joymax etc...

It will failed from start. Why? An answer is so easy - money. They can cooperate to make this kind of server, but sooner or later they will argue about cash. So, forget about it. It's impossible :).

Impossible? We will see, I hope I can make such a project in favor with people and put it over money.. Lets stop thinking about money aspects here and think about HOW to actually carry out such a project

Good thing if it can be done.
But it can't be done for the following reasons:

1. Admins for the private servers care only about money rather then making their game playable.
2. Admins doesn't have enough skills to run their private server properly.
3. Corrupt admins.
4. Admins abuse their powers.
5. Admins solve their personal problems with other via their private server.
6. Admins doesn't have experience to solve private server exploits.
7. Admins doesn't have money to buy for a proper ddos protection.
   
   Almost 99.9% of the currently private servers have one or more of that points that i wrote above.

Solution?
I believe that solution must be come from players AND private server owners together

What players can do:

• 1-Try to make teams with each other and join private servers together not individually.
• 2-Search for the best private server.
• 3-Join the best private server out there(for sure they must choose carefully,wisely) which fit their conception.
• 4- don't quit in the first few days.

What private server owners can do

• 1- Pick your team carefully and hire some experienced dudes.
• 2-Make sure you have enough money & experience.
• IF NOT do not open private server.
• 3- Do not help your friends in game.
• 4 - Make sure to write in english ONLY in game and forums.
• 5- make ticket system in your website to solve players problems and/or forums.
• 6- make sure its play2win.
• 7- don't be greedy for money and make sure that players satisfied.

To summarize, i know that this hard to happen,but nothing impossible.

I was admin of such player base for almost 1 year, to do such thing I need "the money" wich everyone want for various purposes. Is simple. Players give money to admin: admin have the possibility to long the project and players who don't donate also are happy for such a server + donators.

Project stable, players are happy. Just remember: nothing is forever. Everything have an ending :)

Nothing is impossible.

I think you should spend your money and time on something that still matters.

That is the one of the many problems of SRO. People try to "show off" how much they know and how "stupid" others are by being critical.

I know that 90% of you want a server like this to live and prosper! 90% of you dream of the old school Silkroad days. But you'd rather be critical of others and act pessimistically rather than being supportive and contribute with constructive criticism. Is it so hard to agree with someone and to give something as simple as that a try. Are you really NOT bored of over done stupid, pointless and most importantly bugged systems of getting SOX? I personally am and after wasting a year on this "new wave" of private servers with tons of needless edits? And that is why I would like something like what I describe in this thread to happen.

Totally true i used my broadband all these years usless that's whi i have bills that gos over my expectation lets move the Discussion on Chit Chat room too lets see others opinion about it

It depends on the person with who I talk, and how he acts like. And tbh a lot of ppl didn't like him so...

The players that are left are retarded, won't ever work.
