LoL when i am running my game the ship isn't turned to his enemy it's just attack from the ship's center.

You have to set the direction of the ship llike: direction = point_direction(x,y,target.x,target.y);

you have to look into the source of the game. not in the .exe ;)

For the droid_obj, just look. It's in 1 single subfolder.

Regarding other gates, you have to make them yourself.


This thread was made to HELP people, not do everything for them.
If it's really to much to do a small amount of work yourself, don't even bother coding.

This is easy :facepalm:
1. Open "Sounds" in Game maker.
2. Create a new object, for example "music", import your music to this object (you can choose from any location, anyway this file will be saved in your source).
3. Open "ActivityCtrl" (original name) object, go to Create event and put:
"Play sound" that you can find in "main1" group on the right side.
4. Double click the "Play sound" and select:

sound: your sound that will be back music
loop: exactly true :)
5. Enjoy the sound :D Starts when you see the loading screen :)

I am trying to make Darkorbit Remix Online but i cant make mini map can someone help me for that please?

Hi, it is still me, i have a problem with DO Remix Old Times Source

I tried to compile the .exe, but when i start it, it gives the infamous "Unexpected error while running the game".

I checked the errors log and it gave me this:


What should I do to make it working?

I think this error is caused by that you haven't got full version of game maker (see the ending of your error - I made bold the fragment of text I'm interested). But I can speak false informations. I'm learing at the moment. :D

I recommend you, not to make a server in GM!
If you want to do it anyway then wait for the Opensource Thread of "hugo95=)"
he will present many projects, including online darkorbit clones,of this you may look at everything and learn.

This is very simple, you need to reduce the position of the player such example (object_player.x/50) in the example you have the position x of the object players divided by 50, the same thing you do with the y position.
