There were some so called "professionals" that just got their ass kicked in the first days of the servers opening.
If you really want to open this project just do ahead and open it .
Don't make your self look like a "pro" when you don't even started to work on that project.
There were some awesome servers with features that none of the current server are using and still , they are closed now because SRO community is so fucked up right now.
The best example you could take from Nezekan and Eifillity(ex owners of Venture) if I remember right.
If I were you I wouldn't talk like that because you may fail and then you'll just make your self look like crap.

Your point? I've got donations, I've closed servers so what? People enjoyed it at the right time. I didn't stole money, was donations, everyone knows what donation mean.

That's why you win paypal cases if you get chargebacks, because products are not tangible, just virtual things.

Why it would be closed if the players are the ones who are going to pay for the root and for the protection fees? That's why it is called Pay2Play.

So why would I pay $5 a month to play on his server? What does he have that other servers dont?

Only way he could ask for pay2play would be if he had:
new maps;
new instances;
new skills (with skill animations).

2 of which nobody in the scene currently knows how to do.

also good server don't mean new maps , instances , new skills (with skill animations).
as long as it is fun , active with good stuff .etc

no its not, i never said it was alot lol but the thing is, this is ePVP, a hacking forum, dont expect people to want a p2p server while everything is provided for free. the only thing about p2p servers i could think of is swsro vip and ecsro vip. those were the only servers at the time and thats why they were payable, since there were people who were fed up of the lags etc..

also agreed, i doubt he has the team to make a whole new 3d map. im currently studying arts and 3D modelling takes a looooooooooooooong time, and it needs alot of experience (im talking about something good).
but for new skill animations, you could mix some pk2 stuff and create some skills, i once did an aoe lightning skill once mixing it with the cold aoe nuke :D

if youre paying for something ESPECIALLY in the private sro section, you gotta have ballz to make it paid, you have to have something which seperates your server from others and gives a reasonable excuse to make your server paid, and i dont think fun and active staff doesnt give the means to do it.
