Remember, someone (who has posted in this thread) said in December that you can't get banned without proof, and ridiculed anyone who argued with him. His theory obviously was ABSOLUTELY WRONG, and so is this theory that you have to be turned in to get banned.

Simple truth, if you use bots you have a very real risk of getting banned, no matter which one it is.

ok lets be based on the fact that VERY FEW PEOPLE got banned for scar.
I am using scar bots about 2 years, from the first bad-written to the last working with fiddler. I used to hear(especially in chat) from an enemy --> say goodbye to your friend &*^&*^&*^. I reported him.
Then after a week or so, BOOM he got banned .
another story(you will understand in the end whats my point)
you remember shrapnel bug? i think yes
for some weeks there were ships shooting everywhere shrapnels.
suddenly the same message came in chat saying that your guild has been reported.
after a week or so BOOM all guild and also ally guilds got banned.
I know some ally ships using that bug and never got banned, know why? THEY WERE UNGUILDED!
From that time i understood that bp is unable to find you, someone has to be the bloody fuck€r and report to support.

After that my way of thinking changed.
i stopped being a pain in the ass for enemies and became a fisher. Since then(about a year) i have never ever ever got banned.

P.S. some advice, never listen to customer service, they are a piece of liars, they just try to scare you,

From what I have been told, every action you now take is being logged with the time, so each press of the mini map, seachart etc.
If this is indeed the case, which it could be, this would give them proof to ban users for using Scar, as patterns could be discovered, and they could see actions being done faster than a human possibly could (and without breaks).

Now I don't know if that is what the script is catching, or if indeed the above is true, but I can't think of any other ways they can detect a scar bot, and I still stand by my theory they need proof to ban you.
I personally do believe it is a script catching players - don't think it has to do with being turned in although this may speed up your ban.

Yes if you use bot there is a big chance to get banned. What is the difference between BOT and SCRIPT?

I actually agreed with you when the big bans started happening, and have the same understanding of the current process as you, too.

There are those who will continue to argue that "you can't get banned if you use this, or do that." These are the people who mislead members here, and are the ones who the banned players should be mad at.

My personal favorite was the guy who went on the attack, saying Bigpoint "must have proof" and "if you spend even 1 Euro, they can't ban you."

Obviously he was dead wrong, and no doubt there were people who read his posts, trusted him, and are now banned. My guess is he is as well, although it's unlikely he'd ever admit it.

I don't know in what country you leave but is probably in one that Humans have no rights.
And that guy said the true anyway:) You shouldn't(that does not mean that will not happend)be banned with no evidence(proof in court of law) because thats where you can go if something like that happends.This is not only for BP games but for any others LEGAL online game at least in EU I don't know in other country.

For programs such as Seabot,SeaCrusher and others BP can easy provide evidence because this kind of programs leave important(such as log in without using a browser)traces in their OWN DATABASE(logs,history)!so is very easy for a company to make a program that can detect those who use programs:)

What "wrong things" did I say? If he followed his own advice, he's definitely banned. As I said, I don't know, and it's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The point is, he gave advice that if followed, lead directly to bans.

Just because a bot/script isn't a packet bot doesn't mean you won't/can't be banned for it.

You can be banned just for shooting a player but that dosen't mean that they have the right to do that to you:) but to be sure you have to read they terms very careful(some things you might not understand so a lawyer can provide you a better explanations) If such action is mentioned in there...well you can't do anything.

Anyway everybody is free to do what they want on their accounts.In seafight there will always be a risk.

Did you get bann by using a scar bot when you put a lot of money in your ship (around 1000€ and more)?

yeah sure but this is a question for ships that gave 1000euros, i gave 25euros in over 2 years and my ship is a moving shit, so why am i not banned ?

I experienced 4 bans so far, for exploit cannons ban, they absolutely caught me by report from other players, but never get banned for using scar bots but got ban for checking seabot for 20 minutes, I believe they can detect it somehow, and I reduced time of using scar bots to 3-5 hours per day, so far so good.

I put much more then 1.000€ I normaly put around 100€ per month but I paid much more because I bought 155 Voodooo cannons ...anyway the Minimum total in 3,5 years on EG3 should be around 100 x 12 x 3 = 4200€ I normaly use seabot 24/7 my bot logout and login many times(at least 3 times) in this period of time.


But I don't think that matter because I know players who put much more money and get 3 months ban from System for seabot.

I still cant believe how people can actually believe that. If you read ToS you will see, that all virtual property belongs to BigPoint and they can turn off the service at any time without having to pay back anything. Except for Longterm things... The only thing you can do in court is proofing that the ToS are illegal.. Well I wish everybody good luck who tries that.:pimp:
