What still drives you to playing Silkroad?

if I still played it would be because I love the pvp system, the skills animations, and the party system. in the right hands this game would have been MUCH more popular

Probably the dream of a server that would bring nostalgia.

well... it's my first MMORPG.. years ago i tested some other MMORPG because silkroad became little shitty :D
But there are no games like SRO .. actually i don't play sro anymore but i check the Community almost every single day.

It's the community, and being most unique mmorpg out there.

Nothing, haven't played the game in years. I honestly don't understand why so many people keep playing it. It was the first MMORPG I played, and sure, developing for it was fun, but actually playing it in 2014? No thanks.

I am more interested in messing with the server files for fun.. I lost interest in playing due to all these servers that are spammed all over the net. Also knowing that no server that exists is an official server no matter how professional it may be.. People are making a shitload of cash from these files it just makes me sick.. So in other words I lost all flavor for playing silkroad seriously.

it was my first mmorpg to begin with but the main reason for me was the community, regarding epvp. back then around 7 years ago, epvp was one of a kind and the sro community was a huge hit. the community it self had its own guild and people were helping each other and all that. i miss the people like windrius, and oriya and alex, and all the other people which i can't remember. i don't remember having that much fun in any game since it was just legit and pure fun. we were finding bugs, abusing them, kicking everyones ass with +25 weapons and all, but the point is, the community was so alive back then. now i have a huge regret to have played a role in releasing the server files, which gave an end to the community. i feel like I'm too old for this game since its been a huge 7 years , but i do think id still continue on playing if i had my old mates.
besides, joymax also killed its own community by doing nothing, that huge number of players just faded away and left their place in bots. recently i just went on to check up on a thing or two, and in all servers i saw nothing but bots, not even 1 active player, which is sad, though inevitable

The game itself is not interesting for me anymore. Communicating with the players I know drives me to download a SRO server.
Hahahahahahaha I do the same thing. I spend $50 at one server the other day after about 12 hours of playing and paying $50 I quit. Dropped all my shit in town and left.

But what drives me? well its was my first MMORPG. Also the skills are a very big factor, I like playing a realistic looking game. Like the skills and movement I love it. Like world of warcraft you can have the best account in the world, but if you dont know how to move during pvp you die before you even hit. Also I like the fact that silkroad is very basic. This game is not hard to understand and learn. Here is a fun fact for you. I applied at Blizzard to work on WoW and they told me that they have over 2million items, such as gear weapons items to craft and etc.

silkroad is a not just a game , silkroad is a story , a memory , a life . i am attached to sro . i really love it , i think maybe cuz i grow up playing it , or it was the first place i had a good laugh at , or maybe the story behind every single unique and character , races , just everything makes u stick to silkroad keeping all the rest of mmo aside . i played " LoL-dota-aion" , but still at some points i just go back to silkroad . my first love ever !

Nothing at all...

The community for one, I like how Silkroad can be really team-based with grinding parties and how different classes can support each other.

I also like the massive PvP fights that can go on like in fortress war, or smaller sized ones like Capture the Flag.
