Noone to blame for that but yourself.
My objectives are solid, and the ways I use to reach it, doesn't matter. Why learn cooking if you're not going to be the one cooking for the whole life? Get what I mean?

Project has started developing. I will start listing things I've progressed through and such.

- We decided not to start from scratch as it takes too long time and people will feel demotivated by the slowness
- Too much shit in the source, revamping old to new.
- Decided to use a 5679 source + version and experiment what we can do with the new features and create unique features out of it
- Team has started with amount of 5 people still accepting more

#Today's list: this list will update until tommorow
// Awake all night learning the source bit by bit
(Done) Removing every single NPC from server
// Creating a developement plan for 1-2 weeks of progress

Well that was my morning coffee right there.

how are u gauging the # of game packets percent wise when there are so many packets that have never been documented by the private server community
07/02/2013 07:25 drakejoe67#24
By the ones I need.

A custom feature server isn't a server which is supposed to be a copy of the original game itself. That is why, no matter what you guys throw in, aslong as it achieves what I want, nothing matters.

But this will be the last idiotic comment and question I will reply to. Do have fun, I'll be using that video as my sleeping pill now. Goodnight

lol have u tried stand up comedy I think u'd be good if you had an audience of se's

at the end of the day you're using an existing source as the base, already limiting what you can do, how to do things so either ur idea is so simple, nobody should really care about it, or that it's complicated enough that you'll hit a point when ur like well shit, doing this is a lot more complicated than had my source been built brown ground up, maybe it'd be better to start from scratch

there in, everything you've accomplished up that point will be useless, other than for reference material for the re-write.

I early await your success

on another note, since I'm always insulting people, the people i directing my remarks at seem to forget that the points I make are valid but choose to focus on the more personal comments

Enough people, leave the guy do whatever he wants, at the end, there will be two cases, success and failure. If it succeeded, It would be impressive. If it failed, spam this thread with "We told you so".

Ill be blunt here, if you cant spell Development, you probably shouldn't be trying to make your own server for a game which has little/no documentation.

That being said, best of luck.

me nov live up tu ur words Korvacs
veri bad inglis yes mi veri bad nov

mi mak fev mistek an mi is diskriminates yes mi proud

Apparently, you didn't read most of the posts. We've made few megabytes of documentation of everything that is to be done + section of progress and notes on our DropBox.

I'm not a very fan of trollers that do take enjoyment in making other feel miserable, in a common human perspective to the other people that has been on this thread as of now, not you. Personally, I don't agree with your conditions; for one that shouldn't be making their own server of a game.

Though I love this phrase "If you don't know what your talking about, then stop talking."
The reason I like it, is because the way I think and do things, is completely against it. But it still works.
And to add it should be written like this "If you don't know what you're talking about, then stop talking."

Oh and, yeah I did say I wouldn't reply to more of this nonsense around. I'll try live up to that the best I can. But I can't ignore Korvacs, and yeah thanks, luck is always welcome.

Don't forget people, words can utterly change a person. It can either hurt them; very little, or very bad. Any action will always end in consequences. Now if you compare your attitude results to one that is being nice and kind, which is living to help others; what sort of difference will you get once you get hit by the rebound of bad behavior.

got any screen shots of the things you guys done already? i would like to see some.

No, I did read the entire thread, its highly doubtful that you have the experience or knowledge to write a server and client to do the things that you want it to do, you boast about experience yet wont write the source from scratch, you claim that's to save time, but any developer knows that you are infinitely better off writing from scratch so that you fully understand every aspect of your source code. So actually in the long run your more likely to save more time writing your own.

Your 'documentation' as you call it, is frankly laughable, a handful of RTF files that look impressive because of the large file size (though actually this is true of any RTF purely because of the file structure), likely contain very little real documentation, most likely they are filled with rantings about ideas which will almost certainly never happen as this project will inevitably fail.

Ultimately your trying to hack together a server/client from existing code and then hoping to just bolt on your additions, you should be crossing your fingers that all of it will actually work together without throwing up errors or creating a massive amount of lag due to poor threading, but actually I don't think your aware enough of the issues your causing to actually do that.

But like I said, best of luck.
