Quality Items every drop.

i remember reading somewhere that the zone past MZ only drops elite + . . .

The fact that you never found any item above the quality of an unique item does not mean that "not all drops are quality items".
Refined is a quality "drop".

All drops in Adventure Zone are quality items as in Refined or higher. You will never find a normal item drop in Adventure Zone, but then again the drop rates aren't high either, the time you take in finding a Refined higher item in AZ would be about the same time you while you hunt. Well... That's if you can kill them quick i'll say under 10 scatters for an Archer, 3-4 hits for Trojan,Ninja,Warrior. Water and Fire tao's would take longer to kill these though.
