It's fully understandable that you'd step down if those kinds of things happened. You did a great job at moderating and you lasted quite a bit longer than I did, lolQuote:
Yesterday, I took the decision to step down as moderator for two of the five sections I moderate, because doing this voluntary job has just brought a lot of issues to me, and this is better to be known by everyone before getting into it.
I've been a moderator since 2011, during this time I've gotten threatened constantly by members, just because they get a warning (and just imagine whenever they get infractions or even banned). There are constant hate threads towards me on different sections, where users simply go in and insult me and my family, hell, I've even gotten DDoSed on my personal network at least 15 times.
To all this, there is zero protection for us as moderators against these sort of attacks, even the members who do this are always able to create multiple new accounts after they get banned, to simply keep going at it, and I'm sure you all will understand how frustrating this situation is.
I had a good run in here, and I might come back later on, yet, right now, I don't see me moderating so many sections while being under the scope of these skids that are there just to hurt others.

It really is sad to see what this section has become over the past few years.
We greatly appreciate and commend the work you did whilst moderator, on another note I'm not sure what the situation with Lateralus is, I imagine he's gotten quite busy with education as I know he's picked up additional modules and courses plus we are currently in exam period so less online hours is to be expected.
I'd offer to fill in the services on a temporary basis as I do still frequent these forums a lot hoping the forum will return to what it once was due to a lot of free time, however it has to be said my commitment and desire to contribute to the community has been rather lacking over recent times.
I do however feel the job should go to someone who has shown they are dedicated to the community now on a permanent basis, a few names come to mind who I have seen frequently contributing and trying to make the forum a better place in general, as these are generally the people who are dedicated to the job and are more up to date with the game and therefore have more relevant knowledge of how to do the job.
