Joymax under DDos ?

I dont think they are getting bigger attacks than they can resist. Why DDOS? Could be anything.

Like DB-size.
I wonder how big it is.

The lag (or delay) comes from long-distance connection.

I don't think that they have a database consistency issues,otherwise we'd be experiencing "switch-lag".

You just have to split the SQL Server up to more than one machine and this won't be a problem

Last time i logged in isro it was lagging, switching or walking[delay]..
So maybe gaymax is under ddos attacks who knows..

DDoS is not possible on such thing, its not a turk private server or smth like that.
they may have problems with internet or its Long-Distance connection.
Either way last time i logged in(1-2 weeks ago) lag was huge, 10 seconds delay.
EDIT: they might close SRO in my opinion, they had more mmorpg, guess where are they now?:D

I'm sure isro always had that weird 2-3 second lag? After a few years I finally got used to it and claimed it to be normal

How can you get used to this? lol
You do something and get a confirmation 2 seconds later
Unacceptable imo(one of many reasons why I stopped playing)

The lag on the official servers is because most of their servers are located in South Korea, which is quite far from most players.

About the DDoS, joymax owns their own networking equipment and servers, and probably have a rather big staff of networking engineers, I do not think they will have any problems with most attacks, nor could I think of anybody who would want to DDoS joymax (why would you do this? nobody plays iSRO anyway)

Why would anyone bother to DDoS and waste time and probably get sued for closing an official game that is dying by itself, i don't think so.

Regards.

again, my point
International= located somewhere the laws adjust to the customer(in theory), and technical issues are minimal.
But no, Joymax's iSRO servers could be hosted on the same physical place as their other games/servers
The lag compared to kSRO is the same since the server are technically, on the same place
Also, why DDoS joymax know? ikr?

Why the fuck do they have their servers in south korea when there're mostly europeans playing on isro? One of many reasons I quit Isro.

Maybe because the company is originally located in south korea and it will cost alot to host in europe..

Also maybe we know who is guilty if there was ddos attack

They have to pay the costs of doing business and if the cost is to high they go out of business, that is just a fact. In other words if they couldn't handle a global version right then they shouldn't even bother opening it from the start, Most of the global versions of any game is hosted at US or EU and rarely at Asia.

It seems like you are a real business man.
Maybe even THE business man
