You can't just release something extremely complicated to use and expect everyone to know how to use it. That's like expecting some one from the 80's that's never used a computer to know how to use one inside and out. All the other good releasers make videos when things are this complicated.

Will try hope for me.

not work
02/24/2013 22:58 Razfallo#22
I've found the reason of the error. My comp misses VC 9.0.21022.8 (as says the event viewer).
But how can i get this library? Installing and reinstalling c++ packages (2005-2012) didn't help. Turning on and off net.framework (restarting everytime of course) was also unhelpful.
So what should i do to make idm work?

It's not complicated for god sake.. And it's not my fault because you can't read. And I told u in my thread : If it doesn't work for u press alt+f4 in this page .. There are people that they said it works including me. If u got 64 bits go away from my thread.. I didn't test for 64 bits. Come back when you have a brain.exe:facepalm:

Method 1:

I would suggest you to check the event logs from the vent viewer.
Refer: Open Event Viewer

Also refer:

Method 2:

To work with this issue, refer the following.

This type of error could be caused if runtime components of Visual C++ libraries are missing or because of third-party software.

Step 1:

If the issue is caused due to missing Visual C++ libraries, you may download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:

This error may occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing. Try the below step to reinstall and repair the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer and later check if you can install the software.

a) Click the Start , click Control Panel, click Programs and features.
b) Then click "Turn Windows features on or off."

If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
c) Locate Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1, uncheck the box, click OK and restart the computer.
d) After the restart again open "Turn Windows features on or off" and place a check mark next to Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 and restart the computer.

Step 2:

If the above step fails then I would suggest that you manually download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Package and check if you can install the software.

In Programs and Features, do you show that you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable? If not, download from the links here.

Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package for (X86)
