Qonquer - Yes I did know the whole story, I wasn't aware of whom you gave it too, but I did know this story. I do believe it 100%, and I do see your intentions of doing it. BUT the fact that your program HAS the capability to have a keylogger in it (and I'm sure you could hide it very well), is the problem. Maybe I don't know the whole story, but I have been on this forum as long as you (maybe longer), and I would rather steer away from any program that as the possibility of having a keylogger... others, they can make their own decisions... Danny (the one I assume that got your source?) told me he got over 300 people, many people good characters.

Whether people want to download it or not is their opinion, I will no longer say for mods to delete it, as it is your right to release a program here. I am just stating now the risk the users will be taking if they decide to try it out.

a) its probably a good thing you did not release it due to the massive number of idiots who would manage to be caught with it instantly, via irisponsible blatant use of the program.

Any app released on epvp has the capability to contain malware. By your logic, there should be no releases and no downloads.

The fact that QOProxy is written in Java makes it almost impossible to "hide it very well." Anyone with some moderate knowledge will be able to decompile it and see what's going on anyway.

Tis is true. But the fact is the reputation the proxy HAS. And of course people can decompile it, just like any other program... But the fame proxy's have with the spamming-eggy noobs on here, there will be 200+ downloads in one day before any action from a mod could be taken. Of course I wouldn't mind the spamming-eggy noobs to be keylogged (:rolleyes:), but there are others that don't deserve it.

And yes it would be easy to hide from 95% of epvp in the code. A proxy such as QOProxy has at least 300+ lines of coding (my UR - Ultimate recorder contained 255, and look at its capabilities compared to QOProxy)..... So with 300+ lines, if the entire source was released on epvp, your telling me more than 5% of the population could UNDERSTAND java, and recognize what would be the keylogging part of the script.

Your post has a couple false statements not EVERY program can be decompiled, unknownone's point was that its written in java, and java is easy to decompile.

That people leach and dont check their shit out is none of your concerns nor mine nor the programmer, so even IF a program contained a keylogger who's to blame? the idiot leaching or the programmer making KNOWN that the file is keylogged?
And about not easy to detect is wrong, your firewall/virus scanner should already make noise when theres a systemwide keyboard hook or data outgoing, most likely firewall not good configured, again who's to blame the idiotic leacher behind the computer or the programmer that makes it known?

fact also is that this proxy has NO reputation because the abuse with qoproxy 1 was not by Qonquers doing and has absolutely nothing to do with this release, fact also is that posts like these make people not want to contribute so another fact is that this proxy wont even build a reputation.

Facts are, Qonquer has never released any malware containing application here, has a clean posting history, and has made significant contributions to this community, directly or indirectly - parts of which are used in nearly every bot and server running even now.

You don't have the grounds to question his work. Thus, your replies in this thread so far are all bollocks. Of course, it's fine to inform idiots that applications can contain malware, but this has already been done many times. There's no need to reiterate it - especially in this thread.

Well theres one thing in that, that changes your entire statement... I WOULDN'T give my UR to anyone. He made the choice to release his source to people that he obviously shouldn't have trusted. Who's to say it won't happen again?

And I'm done arguing with you, as I respect you a lot. You may make the last statement telling everyone that the proxy will have no chance of keylogging at all, BUT when it all happens again and he maybe releases it to someone like Danny all over again, then what? Would an "I told you so" be necessary?

Aside from the 1-post leechers on this forum, I adore it. I think everyone on here has one sole purpose... To fack TQ up. I am just trying to protect something from happening all over again. Why, take the risk to endanger 300+ people and $1,000's of dollars of DBs bought on gear that accounts may once be hacked again?
