True, but then you just need to install the right version of .Net. The same goes for applications made with .Net 4.5 in VS2012. If you want to use them on Windows 7, you have to install the .Net 4.5 runtime.

When you have an app coded with an older version of the .NET Framework, you don't even have to install anything on Windows 8, .NET Framework 4 and below comes pre-installed.

Just go to the Control Panel, Search for "Turn Windows functions on or off", select the checkbox next to Microsoft .NET Framework 4, click OK and you're done.

It's only the folder related to .net exist in the windows 8 add features option.
Any injector should do the job , I released a good one with auto injection

Edit: Microsoft just do that because they wanted people to develope / work on visual studio 2012 . No more .. ".net 4.5"

It's actually not necessary to install .Net 4.0 as .Net 4.5 is a in-place replacement for .Net 4.0.
If you install the .Net 4.5 runtime on Windows 7 or use Windows 8, you'll still be able to run .Net 4.0 applications.

.net 4.5 WON'T run .net 4.0 applications

(Yes I tested it)

That's not true. You can't have both 4.0 and 4.5 on one computer. If you install 4.5, it will overwrite 4.0 and you will be able to run all 4.0 applications.

No it will run , matter fact , if it doesn't , AIO ( your tool ) won't work on windows 8 . * I give it for an example * .. Something forces the juma's injector to work on .net 4 packets only .
