Rohan server files and fixing/debugging

i will release a fixes registery once i'm done with my repack.

this shitty files missign A LOT stuff.

lots of configures and registery keys.

by the way , use olydbg - and null that.

problem solved (it will still say its "wrong") but it will start.

so far im able to start all the files but the account server isn't completed yet .

nice, but naty... arent those files "needed" to start the server?
so null those files using olly is really a good idea? o.O

This guy says he has a full working server.

Maybe he do, but unfortunatelly most of the ppl of that forum are not willing to help us with anything, not even pointing us in the right direction, all they want is gain from it demanding us large ammounts of cash to the "Working" server files.

Well, you do know that any of those so called "Released" server files are incomplete.

On the other hand, i tried to download something from there and the download speed was just ... well, reminded me of dial up connections.

Even so, i wasn't able to download more than 40mb from a 1.35gb archive because the server just cut down my connection.

Aside from that, after Xor/zRohan went down, everyone is afraid of the legal consequences.
/R/age/Z/one (lol they censor the name ^^ ) actually deletes any topic about rohan.
Code175 ... well, i have to read poorly translated phrases and get used to not finding anything.

So, let me ask you ... if someone manages to actually get a stable server up, even a chinese/koreean version, what would he do?

Open a server and wait for YNK's move?
Release the server files and wish that so many private servers appear that YNK will give up?


Considering that Rohan is PayToWin game, buying the files from YNK and opening a private server similar to XoR would make the game pay for itself in a short period of time.

i have no idea, but since im more like a dev than a hoster i dont think i would open my own server, my purposes on rohan is to understand how the db works i have some ideas of procedures, triggers and functions to add to the database that might sound interesting, mainly my only purpose on Rohan is related to the knowledge.
However i'm having a hard time fixing the errors because im not that good in ASM and reverse engineering so...

Well, i talked to that dude.

He claims that the files are working.
If you can install Thunder and wait about 14hours to get those files you can learn from an working server.

what is this "Thunder", still have no idea

Finally managed to download shitty file with Thundra. Crappy site xunlei need account activation via cellphone so use this account (acc:[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], pass:bugmenot). The speed is zomg

The rohan client is 2gb+.

As far as i understood, the 1.35gb file is a vmware image.

yep the speed is very bad, it randomly goes from 2kb/s to 8kb/s.
