Thanks for the good laugh at least XD
DDoS.
Distributed Denial-of-Service.
That sound like a hack to you? If so let me explain.
"an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the efforts of one or more people to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet."
Taken from wiki! :3
Yet my point being it's a massive packet based attack. Nothing close to a hack.
If you were truly hacked you wouldn't have a server to talk about :)
This guy is a joke seriously -.-
He's just a punk kid that thinks he's cool because he googled DDoS.
People are sad because they give into people like this.
It's like a bully at school who wants your lunch.
Do you give it to him or do you stand up to him?
Most people give it to him sadly and those are the ones that get controlled in life.
The ones that stand up are the ones who are leaders and what not.
>.> seriously not hard to say fuck off bitch.
Not hard to actually look for DDoS protection. Although certain methods for this cost money.
Websites are easy to prevent DDoS on.
Servers aren't as easy due to the constant stream of packets from users.
Yet limiting those packets! There's an idea :D

Here's the site for it if you wish to read more into DDoS so you can stop calling it a hack:

a way of limiting these packet stream is to host a second dedi/vps with a linux based system and go over the IP tables. then u just have to change the IPs that want to connect to ur real ip to go through the the linux VPS/dedi. and make sure that only the connections that come from that vps will be allowed... this might be yet the most effectivest way to secure urself against ddos atttacks up but always dont forget there is always a limit... if the ddos attack goes over that limit the linux vps/dedi will be shutted down and u will get the full attack...

Sadly not many of us use linux based systems though.
Although linux is so much better for security >.>
I'm not even sure Shaiya runs through linux though o.O
Does it? xD I've never tried so I wouldn't know.

well shaiya isnt running on linux or let me call it i never saw it working till yet... but as i said u dont host the server on the linux system... it is just that the IPīs goes through linux and then to ur windows system ( linux can filter with the IP tables as i told) and if u only allow to take packtes from the linux siystem ur are secure aslong as the attack isnt to heavy to shut of the linux system...

IF any1 would get shaiya working on linux u woulnd need 2 VPS/dedi lol
