As to language suggestions, I'd say C#/C++. C# is great and very user-friendly, and even though some guys say C# has its limitations ( such as the inability to inject ) even that can be done with a workaround, so don't dismiss C# just yet ;p !

Doesn't seem to me that he wants to learn something else now..

An integrated development environment (IDE) is a software application that provides comprehensive facilities to computer programmers for software development. An IDE normally consists of:
a source code editor
build automation tools
a debugger
Since he's new, he probably doesn't know the difference between an IDE and a compiler, what he actually needs is an IDE, no one cared to explain that to him and just argued over random things like always.

Not always, books will always lack the practice environment.

Did I tell him to start now ? I said to not miss out on C#, why do you feel the need to comment everything ? Nothing you posted is in any way constructive to his thread.

One will learn more by working with a simple text editor and some compiler at first. When he has a feeling how the build process roughly works, he can switch to an IDE. Furthermore I posted the Wikipedia Link regarding IDE. If he read through it, he knows the difference between an IDE and a compiler. Maybe you should read through the whole thread...

Usually youtube videos are full of mistakes and bad coding style. It is not a good source to learn from...

Ill bet you a hundred bucks he didn't click your link. Also, don't jump to conclusions, you haven't even seen the guys videos. As far as I know you're just speculating.

Please stop bickering, I don't want that on any of my threads. I have read every piece of information that was given (sorry, you would have lost that bet).

Thank you for your help.

The bet was about Skynet, not you, and I'm sorry I turned your thread into an arguement with them >: .
