Sorry to hear you got a horrible virus. My question is, is it something you can repair? or is it Malware? If it's Malware, and you really don't want to reformat, I know there are a few sites that explain how to remove the Malware from your dll files. Perhaps you should google some info if that's the case.

I removed all the virus that will take actions on my computer. The virus also removed the funcion System-Restore, so dont even think of that people =P

Well , C:\Windows\system32\security.dll is infected, McAfee nor Kaspersky can remove it. Ideas? Btw try to stick on topic.

Here's my new Idea : Real weather effects, (Rain, Snow) <if it's possible>

Lawl, that virus was baby.
I've had at least 20 times worse and still have been able to destroy it myself.
I had one that completely destroyed my laptop, I had to send it in to get my HDD fixed(Don't even know what was wrong....).

And lawl, McAfee is just about the worst virus protection you can get.
Since it's so mainstream, most viruses are made immune to it, or attack it.

kapersky usually fixes all of mine but glad to hear its gone

Anyone else use F-Secure here? I've had ZERO problems with it, even if I downloaded a infected file and ran it, it would warn me (thus not running completely) and then I have option to delete/rename/trash it. I find it really good. However it would probably not detect a file that was recently made for example in C#, but hey that is what decompilers are for.

Once my computer got totally killed, the dude who fixed it installed mbam on it.
It like eats viruses for breakfast, as long as you keep it updated.

It's free for just scanning/deleting, but pay for "real-time protection".
All I really need is the scanning though.

you know you coulda just used system restore from dos prompt no virus disables that :D They only disable windows system restore.

All ya need is to boot up pc and hold down f8 and boot into command prompt only and run restore commands from there and it woulda worked but i guess too late for you now.

btw kaspersky > all antiviruses but it isn't free.

hey emme
glad to hear ur pc is clean again
but to get back to the topic

here is an idea
Treasure Hunt quest like Qonquer has it
for the ppl that don't know what it is:
its a event/quest where u have to kill treasureboxes each time u kill it u get 1 point but if u kill a boobytrap u die and loose points
if u kill a bonuschest u get a random reward

i started myself already but i'm quite stuck at the points and boobytraps
do u think u can code it emme ?

Personally, I find the best anti virus/firewall available is zone alarm security suite. I don't have it currently but when I did have it, nothing touched my computer. I think I went 4 years without a single virus, and never had someone access my computer, just got to laugh at hundreds of failed attempts. ><
