@C being faster than Java, well yeah, it's also faster than C#. Does it make it better to work in? It all comes down to which tasks you want to execute in this situation a High Level language will perform the task just as fine and the speed difference will be minimal. C is not really comf. when working with such things, because it's relative low-level and it would take much longer to develop your work in C than in a high-level language eg. Java.
C is also not really an OOP language and it's all bound by structs, since it does not support classes, however if we go up to C++ it does. C++ is getting closer to high-level languages and even more with the new standard C++0x (Or C++11), but well...
hmmm

well just wanted to say am gonna wait for Haydz project nothing more

and yeah it wont matter its gonna be on java or c# till he is very good at java cause conquer online doesnt really need that highly level coding

alot of you guys thought they reached the sky cause they just did a conquer online server Huh?

Was talking about your advice, hence why I bold it.

Do you know what high-level and low-level programming is? I doubt by the speech of that.

Certainly not, but by learning programming you can almost ensure yourself a future either with a job for a company or make your own. Not only Conquer-wise are you learning by coding, but you ould learn to make any application or game and that would make you "reach the sky".

I can probably count the number of people still active I consider to be decent coders as well on my fingers (*looks at UG member list*). But, you by far have not proved yourself to be any better than the people you're criticizing.

Thoughts?

Who cares what anyone can do. If you can do enough to make yourself happy, be happy. Life isn't a contest.

Well this is really interested.

I'm from QO (Qonquer Online) and it was the greatest pserver there ever was in it's first few years when it was on version 4351 or so, referred to as QO1/QO2.

Now it's updated to latest CO versions and it's dead. I see you're working on this very old version of CO and it's very interesting to me. Right now, I code in Python, I enjoy it and I hear it's very easy to integrate with other languages.

It's very exciting to see someone is working on one of the original or classic versions of CO, and I might even want to learn some java just to help you out any way that I could.

I have no experience with programming in CO just yet and haven't looked at the source, but I'm proud to see you doing this.

Ok guys I'm going to be putting this project on hold for a little while as I've started learning Erlang and think I want to remake this in it once I've become profficient in the language.
