that's a ripoff lmao, my 'boss' pays 280€ for dual xeon, 64gb ram, 1gbps connection, 3tb hdd + 128gb ssd, and he runs 3 server on it with 200-300 players each and a dev. server
Oh and Windows Server 2008 Standard can't handle 96gb ram, you need enterprise roflmao.
and forgot to say that server 2008 sucks because it's based on windows vista. either go with server 2003 or 2008 R2
and get atleast 3 more IPs

Why would anyone run a sro server on a such root? And still... 2200 euro / month? 2-3 months and you can buy a new car(not really new.. but.. new) . lol

16-24GB is enough...

Actually, for a fully working server you need 6-8 GB for the second machine (vmachine) and 8-12 for the main machine .

Because you won't get more than 1000 players anyway . :)

when money is no big deal for you, make a cap130 server with 250-300 rates where players can buy ALL (and i mean ALL) silk items for gold on a special npc... and Dgr 1 - 10 sun items at the npc. :p

when the server have no bugs and lot of events, you get easily ~1k players.

Still debating on other private servers.. as someone told me, WoW is hard to make, but makes you lots and lots of $$... i'm not here for the money, just the players enjoyment... might open a network, still debating on different games to be working with besides sro c;
