Ok, I love the Idea you gave, Cyon, thank you so much (Thanks added)
I'll try to help some people in here who didn't get it......

1) These files make your CID pick up ALL QUALITY ITEMS AND GEMS (if you select the *All* option from pick up menu in your CID) and Specific items (if you select *Specific* option) NOTE: SPECIFIC ITEMS are special items you want to pick up which are not quality items or gems, like CommandTokens and some quest items

2) IF YOU WANT TO MAKE BACKUP: which is highly recommended, go to your game folder/config (by default it's: c:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\Config), and make backup of items.ini and item_special.ini files

3) Make sure that you have your game closed before going to step 4

4) Download the files posted by Cyon in the first post, put and extract them all in the Config folder mentioned above.

5) Run CID and CO as usual

done, I hope you got it this time guys, Thanks for X-trem-X (CID maker) for his great job, and thanks for Cyon as well, we musn't forget their efforts :)

@Cyon
I tried your files, but CID didn't EXACTLY collect all items, it just collected all weapons and few items, like few rings & few bags, and here's a picture of a full bag of what did I collect using your files:

I don't know why, but when I compared between the items.ini and the original itemtype.dat (after decompile it), and I noticed that the item ID's are different, here's a screenie:

I think if you made them just like the ones in the itemtype.dat CID will work perfectly, don't you think?

I'm working on that atm, I'll post the results and a video if seccedded

*Edit*
I think that I failed, because I made an items.ini file containing quality items only (ref, uni, eli and sup), gems, mets, dbs....etc, and when I dropped a refined earings my CID didn't pick it up :(
I'm waiting for Cyon's try

The one you sent me was not the one that I saw in your screenshot.
See my screenshot:

Also, there is no hope to only pick up the refined/unique/elite/super armors. (since one of the patches) That is now "server-side." I want to be able to pick up everything, except maybe potions and such, then go to the shop and sell all items that are not +1 or quality and then go collecting again. CID's armor ID's seem outdated and since they are very diffrent from the current ones, I can not change them all to the L/M/H ones in a reasonable time. Somehow you have formated the itemtype.dat into the same format as CID's ini's. That would take me countless hours of work.

Something to think about:
If you do some testing, you may find that all ref/elite/uni/super armors show as [H] (high quality) before you pick them up or something of a similar nature. To test, just backup your itemtype.dat, use the editor that is attached on your itemtype.dat, then go drop a quality armor in the game. If it really shows [R], [U], [E], or [S] then that would be because it wasn't droped by a monster. Post your results.

when you decompile it, it'll show the item details in the text file, all what you have to do is to keep the item ID and Name and erase the rest, and I already did that, here's the files:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] <----- I just deleted the item details

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] <----- I deleted normal quality and fixed items only

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] <----- I cleaned it of some other crap, like pots, quest items, Cities Gates etc...

if you want to use it with CID, just rename the file you want to items.ini and put it in gamefolder/Config
try them, and try to edit the first file, maybe you can get more luck than me

I'm doing a test now,
Peace

*** S U R P R I S E ***

I Picked the refined earrings I was testing by....
ok, here's what did I do:
Cyon, you made my brain cells work when you said (it shows as [H] items), so I edited the original itemtype.ini and ALL the quality items was in [L] quality for me, not [H]
anyhow, I had Refined ThreadEarrings which ID is 117055 (due to the item list), but I made a file to collect the Low quality of the ThreadEarrings and named it items.ini containing this line only:
117053 ThreadEarring
notice that the ID I used was for the [L] normal quality, and it worked, CID picked the Refined earrings.... :D
now, due to this experiment, I'll try to make a new items.ini to collect ref, uni, eli and sup weapons beside the quality items of armors, earrings, rings etc.....

+Thanks goes to you, Cyon, for your great note ;)

*EDIT 2*
here's the new items.ini after adding to pick the low quality normal items (including quality items)

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

copy then extract it in gamefolder/config
*** THE ONLY BAD THING ***
it picks up quality items, and normal non-weapons items, I'll keep working on that

I'd like to know what tools/programs you used to clean the itemtype.dat so quickly. I know it would take hours to deleted part of every line manualy, being that there are hundeds of lines.
11/26/2008 03:44 Acidburncx#30
cycon does this also pick up normal item I kinda only want to pickup none weapon quality?
