You can both make a game better AND make more money off it, they just can't be arsed to put too much effort into it, maybe because they are developing around 6 games simultaneously :rolleyes:
I actually had no idea about that message.. giving me quite the "big brother" feeling.Quote:
Granted, I have never posted until now, but sitting back and seeing what has happened over the last couple of months with conquer and scriptvessel, and many other hacks that go with Conquer Online, I have to agree that CO91, also known as 9net9, has been trying to leech as much money from players as possible. The biggest reason they do things to prevent hacks it to protect the money coming in. The most recent developements are the speedhack dual check, checks its own memory and then disconnects giving "invalid walk" as a system message. The other check going on is the keyboard interrupt hook. They are now recording all keypresses and scanning them for repeated patterns and account information. If you don't believe me check it out for yourself. log in and try typing your accountID in "Notepad" or an Internet Explorer window, or FireFox window.... interesting message pops up.
I actually worked on it too and this is the best I could come up with xD (It does actually work though)Quote:
Wasn't this "big brother" thing implemented on EO ages ago? I guess they're actually trying to make all of their games the same; Haha. I wouldn't even be suprised if one day they'd fuse EO and CO to make more money out of it;
Only positive thing that I can think of their "anti" hack methods is that if you're truly intrested in cheating it should provide you more challenge. :P
*Edit* I managed to disable that check... *sigh* just one jump patch lol. I'm gonna wait for while see if it has any "side effects." (a.k.a botjail)

@ MushyPeas and @tanalipe
thanks for checking into this.... I haven't had alot of time to do anything at all lately with personal life and school (finals are coming up for two of my classes already.) I am hoping to be able to contribute more fully in the future. Also... main system crashed and my copy of IDA Pro was lost... makes things harder to investigate. Anyone got any solutions to my dilemma?
I looked into the assist.dll file as it has the monitoring functions in it and just looked for where those functions were called and then patched the code to jump over them so they are never executed.Quote:
I noticed that when you typed your username/password it called the SetCursorPos, I traced the code back from there until I found the right place.
