Navicat side = DB side

so only 2....

*Unless your referring to the GameServer folder which has nothing to do with levels.

ooohhhh!!!i guess i wasn't ryt.. there where 2 ways only???
yeah!!ur ryt.. navicat or DB side juz the same..jejeje..
so 2 sides..
1.client
2.DB or navicat side...

navicat is just a tool which is utilized to access the database, as alex has tried to explain to you. if you need to change your level exp of the database then you would use navicat to open your database and edit it. then you edit your client to match your database.
04/16/2012 19:48 Alex06052#20
Yes.

Client edit = levexp.dat to show level percents ect..*

Server/Navi = cq_levexp to give amount of exp needed and robotype levels ect.

* = Say your .dat goes upto level 255....but your DB only supports level 180, thus you cannot level past 180 until the DB is updated to have 255 levels.

EDITED :
Also what she said >.<

I took forever to type that stuff in lol to make sure it was understandable =\

thankz for that tip alex..
well...now i have an idea..so am gonna try it...
but...i think got prob. editing .DAT files in hex.... i did edit it before using the hex editing tool... i saw in .DAT doesn't show any text when i used hex tool...
04/17/2012 12:42 Alex06052#22
Because ur editing hex not text.
Levexp isn't text its reverse engineering.*

*As in it is compiled in a binary text..thus making it only possible to reverse engineer it or just entirely know the structure and then just dump from db -> .dat or .dat -> db
Convert .dat to db or vice versa..
04/18/2012 07:16 mysteryho#23
WTF?!!!reverse engineer????? ohh!!!i dont have any idea about that....
wew!!!a headache again....
04/18/2012 19:26 Alex06052#24
Okay.
Now time to be a dick...this has gone on to long....

You should read other posts and you would know that ZeroOnline (zo) DOES NOT HAVE ANY ANY tools to create shit.. you have to do it all on your own...

Now call me rude but you have been asking way to many questions and we have told you over and over what to do..and you still ask questions.

So I assume now that you just want us to do it for you, which quite frankly just isn't going to happen until Shadow releases the Omni Server....

So until then I am just going to ask nicely stop asking questions when the answers are in other posts..

And if you have a headache no offense don't even bother with ZO because that's all it is unless you know what you are doing.

When I say

"we have told you over and over what to do"

I mean that we told you what files need to be edited....
04/19/2012 06:55 mysteryho#25
ok...sorry... like i said am juz confused...
thankz man... i did not ask to do it for me...
i was juz asking questions...
thankz man....

if you are having troubles making higher level so that you can use the higher level things have you considered renaming the resources for the higherlevel items to a similar lower level item (ie: change the name of the dds and c3 files for a 190 weapon to a 185 weapon etc) you can get hints on what files to change by looking at information on how to add eo weapons and pets
esentially making the old item the new one and using its information that is already written in the dat file(you can do this with almost any item and is the common way that people add their own item edits into these games)
__________________________________________________ ________________________

now there is an actual way to add levels without adding them into the levexp but it is not ideal as it would only add a level(unless you add the stat increase amounts as well) and it would involve re writing how the game works
you can add an action to add a level to any character up to 255 and add it to an npc or an item or a monster. like I said however you will need to think up a good way to have them "get" those levels (ie add nextfails and idnext for a certain amount of monsters killed or items collected exp ammount gained vip level etc)

this can be an easy "temporary" solution until you are more adapt at editing the dat files etc, or you can use it to add an "extra" way to get levels along with your level sets
