The first four header bits (for the Lineage 2 ogg's) are L2SD. I'll assume it would be different for Aion; all you need to look at is those first 4 characters.
The standard header for .ogg files is OggS. Change the first 4 bits to OggS if its not.
The ogg file should now be readily playable in winamp. It can now also be converted into mp3.
I'll test with the Aion files some to check it out.

I installed the Chinese AION CB/OB client. After installing Deathain's suggested link for the RPGViewer, I was able to unpack all the music files from the game into their respective ogg formats. All of the file headers are intact and play perfectly in winamp. Voice and other sound effects should be the same as well.

Could you be so nice and decode strings.pak ( it should have translation files )

Hi,
hab dazu gerade eine Kinderleichte lösung gefunden (funktioniert bei dem geupdateten koea client)....
Ladet euch Python 2.6 runter:

Ladet euch das Rar Verzeichnis runter.
Dort findet ihr eine Bat Datei (entpacken.bat) und die Python Datei (pak2zip.py).
Jetzt installiert ihr das Python. Danach legt ihr die gewünschte ?.pak Datei von Aion in das Verzeichnis wo die zwei Dateien vom Rar Verzeichnis sind.
Nennt die pak Datei in a.pak um. und startet die entpacken.bat.
Jetzt wurde ein Rar Archiv generiert und das entpackt ihr wie gewohnt mit einem Pack Programm ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] oder Winzip).
Wenn ihr z.B die Audiodaten möchtet, werden die nun funktionieren. (Texturen gehen auch, aber ich weiß nur wie man die dds Daten öffnet).

Nur zur Info: das funktioniert tatsächlich mit Python, mit diesem speziellen Programm da liefen die oggs nicht, mit dem einfachen Python Script laufen die oggs wunderbar.

Das unter dem ersten Update mit dem Hex Editor kannst du löschen, das trifft bei Aion definitiv nicht zu, sind alles normale oggs, auch beim koreanischen Client.

I have managed to unpak all the Ogg files with RPGViewer 3.0. All the files have a decent size (none have 0 ko).
Yet I can't play them in AIMP2 nor VLC. I've tried the lineage trick but it didn't change anything. How did you make the Ogg files readable ?

ive done what you did philou as well, yet i cannot figure out how to make them playable. someone mentioned editing the hex code, yet i do not understand any of that. anyone know how to convert these oggs?

try this: (works fine)

3. Now install Python. After that, move (copy) your .pak file (this one which you want to extract) inside the folder with the 2 files (entpacken.bat and pak2zip.py)
4. Rename the .pak File in a.pak
5. Double click on entpacken.bat
Now the .pak file will be converted to a .rar file
6. extract this one and you will find your data :)

Yeah it doesn't really work for all files ... baaad compress-mode, bad compress-mode!
