Assuming the data you modified client-side had been processed as true server-side and is genuine, i must say this should be kept private for obvious reasons. However, this is you're decision. Personally i would not mind tinkering with it.
Someone awhile ago posted something similar, and was found to be just client-side. I still believe it's only client-side, as this would be purely insecure data checking within the game code. However i'm not denouncing you're find.
I personally would not post the "How to" details, but just the file/files that where modified, and leave it up to people to figure it out.
