How To Make Your Own P-Server!!!!

lol. i never used database programs, but i created my server. So i think that his guide is a sucess. :) gratz revolution

People please remember to change username root password test after you have seen that the server worked, If not others can get access to your Mysql and hack your database.

Just wanted to say Thank you for the Guide on making a private server..... It helped out a lot took about 45mins to get it up and running...

Thanks for the input...... but your giving bad information.
Cuz this guide is for noobs. If you tell to change user and pass for mysql, there probably only going to edit server programs like config.ini, account.ini, shell.ini, etc....

And for the info you cant change password, because in accserver there is a file called AutorizeDB.cfg wich has a coded password of test in there. I have tried different codes like from command line and reg page but they woulnt work. The only I found to be working is the defualt code for test.

But if you do want to make ur server safer you just need to rename the user root@localhost to w/e you like. Then edit everything else that says root in
1. C:/Serv.Programs/AccServ/account.ini
2. C:/Serv.Programs/AccServ/config.ini
3. C:/Serv.Programs/AccServ/AuthorizeDB.cfg
4. C:/Serv.Programs/AccServ/GameServer.cfg
5. C:/Serv.Programs/GameServer/config.ini
6. C:/Serv.Programs/GameServer/shell.ini

Then last got to C:/wamp/mysql/bin/ and run winmysqladmin.exe

Then go to the my.ini tab, then at the bottom where it says user: root
change to the same one you used in the other edits.

Everything went great up #22.
The account server started up fine, but the msg server and npc servers both gave me errors (unreadable) and closed.
Everything else went exactly as you said it would until I tried to start the servers. Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong? :confused:

Did you edit everything in GameServer like I said?
And make sure you start MsgServer 1st, then NPCServer

I wasn't giving bad information!! You posted this as a Guide to set up your own pserver, That's not for noobs that's for everyone. If you dont change that information ppl will hack it you can say as you want but i know that for a fact. You can change account user i did it for my own server >_>

Like I freakin said you can change you user, as long as you change EVERYTHING to that user, including the my.ini tab when you run winmysqladmin.exe.

Okay first of all you should learn to read your own posts! You said you CANT change the user name so before you start spitting vulgar words at me Learn to READ!! As far as me being a noob, I run my own server and was letting everyone know that someone can hack your database if you dont change that information. You shouldn't criticize other ppl when they are trying to help!

Like that part even matters dude, I got my point acrossed. You were giving stupid information. You said to change your user and password, so there most likey only gonna change like 2 things. If they have to read this guide they are probably noobs at this. Then if ppl read that dumba$$ post there gonna think "oh no, my server is gonna get hacked, maybe ill listen to this douche bag"
Its true they can get hacked, but if you lead them to do something that will mess with there server they will come to me and ask me 341564316534 questions. And ask why there server doesnt work anymore, and ask me to fix it.

When you make a guide for "noobs" you agree to answer their questions. If you cant do that then you shouldnt have made this guide. The point is people DO get their databases messed with by people logging on with root/test and weither they are "noobs" or not is irrelivent. People deserve to know how to keep their files safe. Calling someone a douche bag who is trying to help people keep their work safe isnt helping anyone. If she didnt bring it up people wouldnt have thought to ask about changing passwords until someone did mess with their files, its better safe than sorry and if you cant handle the questions you shouldnt offer to help just for Thanks...

You shouldnt have offered information of a pserver without giving that information in the beginning and at that i wasn't discriminating your post i was helping you out to point out something that could be an issue later on. You should really watch your language! Your ignorant comments doesn't bother me but there are kids that play and that are members of elitepvpers so please have a little respect for them and their parents!

I did everything step by step as per your guide, but I suppose it's possible that I missed something. I'm gonna go back and start from scratch. Hopefully I don't miss anything.

My thanks to you for all of your help! My server is up and running and I've been playing with some of the files to modify certain aspects of the game. I do have a small problem (my own stupidity). I somehow wiped out my registration page and now the captcha image is not showing. Could you add a quick tutorial on where to put the reg page files? I tried using the Mysql command line to add the new user and passwordhash from the html file, but it doesn't seem to be working. It tells me in the command line that it was added successfully but when i try to login, it says it's invalid. So far I'm only playing with the "test" account
