You dont need the terminal to install crap on linux. It's an option now.
Before it was, plus installing through terminal is faster. And cleaner.
Linux does everything perfectly EXEPT, windows only proggies, aka games, pshop, etc. but outside that, it's just:
Install in 10 mins.
Get your progs in 20-30 mins without opening the web.
You're set.

I still detest linux, although now I don't have to have linux when I set up my web server... I got windows server 08 for free through microsoft dev :3
