*before* you hide users, *enable* CTRL-ALT-DEL for logon as follows, since it is NOT ENABLED by default in Windows 7:
- Go to the start menu
- in the search box type: netplwiz
- right click netplwiz and chose “run as Administrator”
- in the user account floater that appears, go to the tab “Advanced”
- now tick “Require users to press CTRL+Alt+Delete”
