Damn same to me.... just i get that stupid error screen not always, but sometimes i get it do dont know what to do.... i reinstaled video drivers, i reinstaled sro but guess ? same S#%T as always....

make sure u have the right sro_client version (not the original one)
use compatiblity mode for win vista (if there isnt try to set compatible win 98/Me, etc...)
right click sro_client >> properties >> compatiblity
