EliteSilkroad-Private server How to [Start to play]

damn are these gms noobs they have such files and dont know what to do with them it gives much ways to protect his server but they dont know it i think -.-

that english pack doesnt work it says data.pk2 damaged when i try to unrar it i tried to redownload it about 3times

I guess they know how to but their hardware is not that good i guess, sro server files really need good hardware...

Windows 98 with 512mb ram and 2GB HDD Disk is enough to handle 2000 players.

I guess that those specs wouldn't be enough to run a server on but I get your point.
But I would suggest something like 4gb ram for the whole collision thing and to have parts of the database cached. and 2 gb hdd is a bit small cause the database can be really big after a while.

What the server actually need, to run with 3.5k players,flawless is:
Windows Server 2008
1GB Connection, or 10gb by switchport.
16-32GB Ram
Best Firewall
Hosted in Europe

By 1000 players:
1GB Connection
8GB Ram
Firewall
Hosted in Europe

Sorry but I'm not able to read sarcasm so I thought you were kinda serious:)

but those specs are gettings pretty good to run a server like that but if the files still have the same structure as the jsro leaked stuff you could have 8 servers and run everything on another server to handle even more players:D and if i'm correct you could add multiple gameserver so you spread the load for a server.
