it is all about the damage per second (dps)
the sword will have a lower damage per hit than a blunt, but the damage over any amount of time from a sword will be infinitely better as time goes.
also, each swing is another chance to crit, so you'll have more crits overall over the length of time
aaaand, it is another chance to stun with normal attacks, which is also REALLY helpful
please for the love of god and all good things everywhere ignore the blunt and axe lovers and do the right thing

lol if there is a 1800 damage difference between sword and blunt, then the sword is probably unique and doesnt have a crit stat xDQuote:
