how do I get the server? or connect

I am trying to connect but every time I try to even go to the site or the forum for that matter I get redirected to something saying "Link Protection" telling me to use unfamiliar apps. when I do this on IE I am sent to a page that is all but one add banner. An answer to my problems is all I ask.
