No offense, but this forum is getting far from its purpose. Most of the threads are about leveling tips, builds, but what is the most ridiculous, servers being down, many times just for minutes.
The very few times a topic opens about a new cheating method it's just chit-chat. I'm not saying that ppl who know the method should go and post it right in front of the public, but writing comments like "i know it, but i won't tell anyone" isn't any better...
And people talking about who deserves it... Well honestly on that basis there are only very few people on this forum who actually "deserve" to know about methods right away. But this is f'in silly, because obviously a person will find that who deserves it? - only their friends. Yeah, well then go set up a private forum (like there are, I figure) and share there if you don't want to share with other decent ppl except your friends, but then quit posting about knowing it, because its just b'in around and it will generate even more threads asking for the method.
Strange that avati found a way to distribute his hard work the way he wants to. You can't say its public, because he sends it only to people whom he finds to be trustworthy. He could go around selling it for even a small amount of money, as it's a great bot, but he's a person who actually want to share, as this forum is about this. Not about a few ppl starting to post about methods, then share it with 3 friends on this forum and "the end".
Some members have been talking lately about this forum getting flooded with too many threads about builds, questions of beginners, etc. which should be asked on official forums. But if those threads weren't here, what would be?! Besides some useful stickies and the trading section I don't see any valuable things in the Archlord section anymore.
Since this is an online forum, you judge ppl by their post count and which should be taken more seriously join date. I'll approve join date, but actually neither of them is a guarantee that you're sharing with the "correct" ppl. I, for instance, haven't been posting a lot, because if someone has already posted an opinion, help, anything which I would've wanted, I won't post just to increase my postcount by one. Most of the time I'm just a silent spectator, mainly because as I said what's valuable in this section anymore?
Sadly it would make no significant difference if the Archlord section would only be made up of the stickied, useful threads and the trading section, because ppl just want to keep everything to themselves. ***Again I'm not saying if you found something great in the game you should go and tell everyone*** But then again why are we at this forum? To read the very few stickies that are actually useful and updated? Sure. To trade accs easily? Sure. To share hacks, exploits? Oops.
Back at CM when the method was released to the public, a lot of ppl were like omg thanks for ruining the game. Yeah well those ppl are who don't want to share with a soul. Because I don't believe you didn't see that before that post the game was already f'd up... Only difference was that newly come players didn't know about it.
Couldn't we just get sensible and if someone can't come up with another way, just do it like avati. Open a thread, telling what it's about, and state who he/she will share it with. (S)He'll sure get a lot of PMs and will have to look after a bit if that person isn't just a troll. But avati seems to manage fine and we can all guess he has a life too... And anyway posts about ppl knowing-but-not-sharing are only for getting attention. Then go for it, you'll get it this way too, but maybe you'll actually do something for the community, if there is still such.
Now good luck reading that...
EDIT:
- Would've rather posted this in the thread about dupe, but it's been closed
- No particular offense to you Feldunost, your post just happens to be above mine, but this is just about the same thing happening everytime... People are always so busy protecting our beloved game, shh-shh don't ruin it. Way to go on a _hacking_ forum, in the case of a provider who hardly gives a _ about players.
