I'm planning to get back on darkorbit, but as GB1 was dead 2 years ago (and It's still now) I was wondering which server is most playable (with most players) to start from 0?

Yeah lagging almost 1 year and full of UFE faggs and bots. But yes its most played. But since servers will be merged GE 6,7 maybe even Poland, Germany will be pretty full.

Your P.E.T. needs to be LVL4 minimum for LVL2 protocols/gears and LVL8+ for LVL3 protocols/gears.
