How detectable is the KVM method? Have any of you got banned only by using KVM for finding loot?

you can host a vps and run the radar there, or setting up 2 windows vms on one machine, which is not recommended cause of performance

Yes! You can use multiple monitors with a virtual private machine that you remote into just fine at no big loss
