For the low low price of 25 euros a month of course. Forgot to mention this it would seem?

At least from what I've heard lol. How long have you been working on this "client" anyway?

Imagine paying 25 real life euros a MONTH on a private server. Apparently it took "five" or so years to make this?

Anyway not to bash but, why are you making it a exclusive and or money grab feature? Personally, I think you are going to loose a good player base due to this.

Best of luck I guess.

haha 25 euro, nice shit server. It should be optional.

While the rest of browser game community is becoming F2P, PG becomes P2P cuz it's owner thinks it is a unique game made from scratch and can't be touched by those who never played it and doesn't want to pay to try :kekw:

its bad game take even longer to grind than in real DO and client is more shit lol dont see reason to play there.. x4 rewards for npc but you have to pay x6 for everything else lol

Im very proud to announce, that XDream's phone-support is finally released. With this update, you can also clean-up your UI and basically disabled EVERY UI-Element (even slobars, hotkeys still work) except 3 small edge-buttons, resulting in an incredible cinematic gameplay!

Check this out for a preview! (Recorded on IPhone 14 Pro Max)

It is optional. My XDream client only requires a payment during early-access. When all features are added in XDream, it replaces the flash-client and becomes completely free for all PG players! <3

Right now, you can play PG completely for free with the default flash-client. So you can still progress in PG, grow your account, and as soon XDream fully releases, you can seamlessly switch to the XDream client (You don't lose any progress)

So don't worry, it's just a temporary phase with those XDream-payments (but a lot of people hide this fact, to try to hate on PG)

I wish you all the best with this server. Your server stands out since it is online for so long unlike most other servers. I probably would play it but I lose interest immediately when I see new formations like ring.

Since the release of DO's Unity client, I wanted to compare the performance of XDream to Unity.

It's important to note that XDream runs in a browser, which significantly limits its access to system resources. In contrast, Unity is a standalone application with full access to all system resources, giving it a clear advantage in this comparison.

Unity also benefits from some advantages that make the comparison somewhat unfair.
For example, Unity displays no ship names (i just disabled it, to not leak anything), and there are far fewer ships and lasers visible on screen, which should give it a significant performance advantage over XDream.

When testing Unity on an open Cubikon, it takes around 5ms to render a frame on my system, resulting in a maximum FPS of about 200.
While this is very playable, it doesn't seem acceptable for a modern engine like Unity, especially with so few elements on the screen and all system resources available.

On the other hand, XDream renders a frame in around 0.80ms under the same conditions (with no other factors changed and the image captured 30 seconds later after the Unity test).
This results in a maximum FPS of approximately 1250!

Again, please keep in mind that XDream faces several disadvantages. For instance, there are far more ships, many more lasers, and ship names displayed on screen, all of which contribute to a heavier load.
Plus, XDream runs just in a browser, which inherently limits its access to system resources.

This comparison highlights just how incredibly well-optimized XDream is, and at the same time, it shows how BigPoint has managed to absolutely destroy the performance of the modern unity-engine with their code.
The argument that Flash was just an outdated engine is and was never a valid reason of its bad performance. (At least not the only reason)

I don't see why a game like DO needs more than 60 FPS, nothing there makes sense it's all about flexxing but in the end its all the same shit

You don't. But when you're limited to refresh-rate, having more headroom is good.

@[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] the reason I push XDream to be as performant as possible isn't to flex with high FPS numbers.
My goal is to maximize performance for several important reasons (Those are just a few):
  • Supporting older hardware – Players with outdated PCs, who struggle with low FPS in Flash, can finally enjoy smooth gameplay in PG.
  • Lower hardware strain – Optimizing performance reduces wear on components, extends hardware lifespan, and lowers power consumption — saving money on electricity bills.
  • Freeing up system resources – XDream uses much fewer system-resources than flash, allowing other applications to run more smoothly alongside it.
  • Better experience on laptops, tablets, and phones – Lower power consumption means longer battery life, and devices stay cooler in hand, preventing discomfort.

Also, for those who believe "DO doesn’t need more than 60 FPS", XDream allows you to lock FPS to 60 (or even to 30), with the benefit, that those 60FPS will stay at those 60 in pretty much any situation, not like in flash where they drop very often (at least they do for me, since my PC also doesnt have the newest hardware)

As @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] already understood (and hopefully you, @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], will too), this isn’t about chasing the highest FPS for the sake of numbers — it’s about showcasing how insanely good XDream’s performance is compared to both Flash and Unity.
The reason I say things like "This would result in 3000 FPS" is to make it easier for people to grasp just how insanely well XDream performs.
If I simply said, "A frame renders in about 0.5ms", most people wouldn’t fully understand the level of optimization behind it.

Better performance = 100% pure benefits. No downside.
