i don't know about changing the ports...i made no change to what ports it uses and it works perfectly...internally...now if you want someone outside your LAN to play and you have a router you will have to forward all ports found in the servers config files(cat, login, messanger, session, dekaronserver(I think they are all in the dekaronserver can't remember right off and i'm at work)) to THE LAN ip of your server. also port 80 for the web server so they can get the list.txt and see the server from the client. Also if you have a firewall these ports must be opened on the server...i would just disable the winxp firewall if your runing it in a vm. if not allow these ports.

ok well if you can lets try replicating this as close to my setup as possible just for shits and giggles. for your VM software try using Sun's Virtualbox and give it 2gb of ram. that's what i did...i can't see what else. and in you VM you have XP's firewall turned off?

I have 1 problem , my game won't launche.

every thing is running wel , no errors.
changed al ip's in data.pak and connector.exe

then i open connector.exe
then select server and press start , it loads
and then nothing happens , game just won't launche.

( use every file from this topic ) ( server files + client )

so u use win XP as you server do u run win XP on you computer or are you runing vista. if you run vista you must launch the connector as admin. right click on the connector icon then go properties and then on compatibility tab click on launch as admin i had 2 do this as well

Now for my question this would be for silkbotter
Anyway to get the latest updates applied to this server? Like new skills and mailbox system?it's probably just a matter of finding out what files the update modify and making the modifications ourselves.

yes you need all 9 parts of the client files in order to get the full client. plus the server files then you need to set up the server. it must run on windows XP not vista. if you have vista use a Virtual machine(Sun's Virtual box is the best) to install XP. u then need a sql server(Microsoft sql 2000 sp4 recomended) and follow the steps in vdo posted on page 14.
