It has nothing to do with botting, recently no -succesful- servers let people farm/collect valuable items via botting but just some.

You could have kept it short, Silkroad is not dead but Silkroad turned out to be a short term game which comes out every (~) 6 months (Major servers) which would continue 1 to 6 months (if reaches 1500+ online).

Why it doesn't last more than 6 months?

- Blame it on GM's? + NO
- Blame it on players who quits the server after a while? + NO
- The hack wrong then? + Reason is simple, Silkroad in 2016 is all about HYPE. There is nothing FUN in Silkroad other than an upcoming server people be hyped about which makes the server fun with competitiveness at its highest. Then, some people would give up due to:

not being able to catch others,
not being able to join a proper group/guild to have fun with,
not feeling as excited as he/she was before (first month)
not feeling like to keep on playing due to being unlucky with alchemy/getting no support from server staff,

Doesn't really matter, the list goes on, Silkroad in 2016 is a 1 to 6 months game, it's not possible to make Silkroad last longer than this and yes we will still keep on playing because the hype is real every time, it's fun yea? Only if you have a good crew to have fun with though, I got to be lucky, Experts <3
To add :
Too many servers opens on a daily basis. IF only 1 server opened, and stayed that way, without any other server to be released, things would've been much different

Well, this was my first pserv since esro died. I felt like i've nerver played silkroad before. Everything changed, ppl go with 2 partys at uniques then merge to a 8/8 wizz. Doing trades?! trace all day but "we don't accept hunters, 8/8 trader cause we get less shit", they start trading right after limit reset and don't stop untill they got limit done, 24h of non stop tracing (everytime I did like 3-4 trades and got bored, idk how they could do it for 24h).
It was a nice server! We destroyed it, not the admins.

in my opinion the reason why the server is almost dead are the GMS !! .. it's rarely when you find a GM online , at the beginning job coin was fucked up every few hours a reset , some people had 1k job coins and others had 300-400.. honor buff system was sucks , uniques were useless . everything was totally boring except the jobbing .. even the edit you made in skills fucked the server up , i remember i was warrior with a friends set which were +9+8 som LA and a wiz kill me 1 hit , but you learn from you mistakes

I do agree with the highlighted part. And I think that this server really lacks customer support and general help, maybe even some event managers.
The staff has demonstrated more than once to not care about the players (specially the ones that donate, such as myself - I opened a ticket about a failed donation and it got closed with no answer).

In my opinion, if this server is going to survive , changes are needed - starting with an active online staff of GMs and Event Managers.

totally agree with you, i was about to post a huge feedback since there is so much to say, but they don't even deserve something like that
i already mentioned on page 3 or 4 that this server is going to be a wizard festival, they promised to have a look at it, nothing happened
this was honestly one of the worst servers i've ever played on, it even lacked the basics like a smooth gameplay, since day 1 there was no day where i could pvp without any delays while switching weapons
this was just a bunch of empty promises and a huge hype until day 3, where 99.8% of the server were traders, but instead of asking himself what is wrong with the job system the GM was bizzy (busy) fapping to a picture of the huge caravan that survived without any hunters, because thieving was simply useless (u had to pay 3 silks per pet to get 3-4JC per 5*)
(too bad that i can't find his post anymore, seems like it got deleted)
this shit is getting too long again, i'm out
