due to the fact that this weekend we have made it through the first week since server start, a handful of events will take place:
The King of the Hill Event is a completely unique PvP survival game mode, which was developed especially for Evion.
For this event the current progress is completely unimportant. So both beginners and players of the first hour have the chance to win.
The goal is to be the last survivor. A lot of kills are especially useful for this. "Why?" we'll explain in a moment.
There are rewards from 1st to 5th place. But the rewards are so different that the 1st place is very special!
Let's start with the basic rules of the game:
The following is an explanation of how the game works:
To participate in this event, you have to enter the lobby first. To enter the lobby, simply click the King of the Hill button located at the top right next to the minimap. This button is only visible if the lobby is currently open. The Lobby will be open on every full hour and will close 10 minutes after that. The lobby is where all players who participate in the event will gather. Once the event starts, the number of players in the lobby, if over 40, will be split between multiple instances. If there are not more than 40 players, the event will start with a single instance.
At the start of the event, each player is teleported to an instance and then positioned at one of 40 spawn positions. The event starts immediately and the battle begins! Each player starts with a damage of 2 (Assassins with daggers with 1, see rules) and a maximum amount of 200 Hit Points (HP). Neither the equipment nor the level is important. Also quest series such as the Biologist Quest and similar do not affect the game. Each player only has 1 life. As soon as this is gone, you will be teleported out. For each kill you get, your damage increases by 2 (for Ninja with daggers by 1, see rules). The automatic TP regeneration is deactivated, but you can heal yourself at a green campfire. These campfires spawn once per minute and last for 30 seconds. The range of the campfire is indicated by a pulsating marker and looks like this:
But this is not the only campfire. At certain times other campfires appear, for example blue and purple ones. These can give temporary bonuses like increased movement or attack speed, but also negative effects like temporarily reduced movement speed. So consider carefully whether you want to use the following campfires:
In addition, stamina plays an important role in this game mode as well. You will start with an stamina of 2000, which will be permanently consumed by movement - regardless of whether you have hit before. As soon as this is used up, you will not be able to run for 10 seconds. These 10 seconds can be essential for your survival, so make sure you manage your stamina well! For every player killed, your stamina will be charged by 200 and the maximum amount of stamina will be increased by 200.
