Final Fantasy XI (Online) Private Server files

I found this tool as well, if you place the executable files in your Final Fantasy 11 folder, it pulls up files, and displays the icons for them, and there's a little information. It's all in Japanese though, and I don't have the language pack to translate it. It seems like this may be a big help, since it lists all of the new items, and spells and the stats. This was originally what I was trying to find, to see if it listed the ModelID#'s.

Also, I just recompiled at my friend's house, with r1430 and the 2 times I tried, I got the same version as "SpiraXI." I used the same scripts and database. As far as I know, the revision is fine, it's the scripts that aren't working. Replace them with Spira scripts and it should work fine, with the database (even though the database is funky with some errors when it's loaded from scratch) I haven't tried Tom_Neverwinter's updated database stuff, that may fix the zonesettings012110 and zonesettings020210 problems i keep having.

If you just replace the scripts folder in the .rar of the 1430SVN with the ones from Spira'sSVN so many people probably wouldn't be having problems when compiling. I'm gonna mess with Tom's databases a little now, and see what works. It's gonna be a long weekend :)

I was also wanting to know if it would be possible to use a .lua generator to add spells to mobs. I guess you would have to change the source code to do that, but I think that it'd be easier for those of us who don't know how to script yet. I have a program that does it, it's for ArcEmu wow emulator, but if anyone's interested, I'll upload that. It's a simple program to make simple script files for casting spells for trash mobs. Or if anyone knows how to build a similar program that would work with pxi, that'd be awesome. Seeing as there's not 1 mob that casts spells. I don't have the source code for this program, it's just a small exe file.

hi, use codi's spiraxi (located on a previous post) and make sure you copied your data folder from your ffxi folder to pol folder.

i think that happened to me. i tried to copy over the playonline folder without installing it, and it seems like it did that. you gotta install it though, from discs or mount an iso.

if that is what's wrong, once it is installed, you can copy over the Final Fantasy XI folder after it's installed and it'll replace all of the files that needed updated and then to update it to the newest version it'll take maybe 45 minutes rather than 6 hours. I have a copy of the Final Fantasy XI updated folder in a folder seperate from the game, in case I have to uninstall it, i won't have to sit through that update again.

I made an updated Spira repack, but it has your executable in it instead Lionhart. I was going to change the name of it to Project XI 0.6.5, but I wanted to make sure that would be ok first.

thanks! this is problem! oddly enough, when he checks files, it finds no errors, even though we replaced all the files with the updated ones...so its only like 33k files when it should be 35k, were reinstalling now, hopefully this time it'll fully update.

carry on, feel free to rename it, im still in the process of reading through the c++ code... trying to work out the mechanics such as engage, disengage... since these both work i wanna fix the switch target to see if i can do it. fingers crossed :)

I Just wanted to say THANK YOU for everyones hard work to keeping this alive. The server is so nice! I can see why SE nuked it. They must have known how close this is to the real thing.

You da man Lionhart. I got my fingers crossed. Joeis78, when you reinstall FFXI and copy over the files, and FFXI doesn't show up in the list, just run ffxiupdate.bat, and it'll break 2 files. once the file is broken, (I believe it's VTables), it'll show up in the playonline list when you hit check files. I still haven't tried to use the files in the update folder to see how those work. Thanks Lionhart, I wish there were more C++ peeps that could help you. I'm trying to find time to learn a little, but with work, school, and g/f there's just no way. I would get a lot more done if I spent less time on this forum lol, I just have a lot of hope for this. I'll post updated repack when I go through it all and make sure it's all in order.

He used all the files from the same "Update" folder as me, FFXI updates and both of ours have the same amount of files/ same version. MXI is just still saying FFXI not found!
