Help I replaced the 1.139 greyfox client but Silkroad is updating a new client, how can I get past the status screen without updating???

Yeah it worked like a dream for me. But after the 1.40 patch not anymore. If i start the loader it saids : Please execute silkroad.exe. Is this my mistake or is it bcoz it only worked with 1.39 ? ty
