It was a fresh install. I always delete the folder and extract the new one clean.
300 people might have the issue and not even know it since most people don't even have lua errors showing, which is off by default in the game, plus since i'm an addon developer I also have addons capturing said errors for logging.
The trial files are called by the addon, look at the file Autoload.xml inside the Guides-Retail folder, they're there, meaning the addon checks for the files when loading.
Example:
Line 44:
<!-- LEVELING -->
<!-- CATA -->
<Script file="Leveling\ZygorLevelingAllianceCATA.lua"/>
<Script file="Leveling\ZygorLevelingAllianceCATATrial.lua"/>
<Script file="Leveling\ZygorLevelingHordeCATA.lua"/>
<Script file="Leveling\ZygorLevelingHordeCATATrial.lua"/>
As for the files them selves, yes they have very little code, they're not important to us, the addon works fine without them, just looking at the code they're probably just there to check if you have the trial version of zygor.
In any case, I asked the question just to make you aware of this, I can fix it my self if you don't think the problem exists. As I said the addon works fine as it should, it just throws a bunch of errors when loading because it can't find those files but that's it.
Example of Error in question:
{
["message"] = "Error loading Interface\\AddOns\\ZygorGuidesViewer\\Guides-Retail\\Leveling\\ZygorLevelingAllianceLEGIONTrial .lua",
["time"] = "2022/01/14 15:30:37",
["session"] = 6296,
["counter"] = 2,
Anyway, thank you for your continued sharing of the addon.
