I've been playing since the server opened. There's a lot of hate for the resets, and I can understand. I personally am willing to give the server a day after opening to see how it goes before dismissing it. So far everything seems to be fine now (the current time I'm typing this). I agree with others that there should have or still needs to be some type of public testing before an "official" open. Besides that, there's not much lag, the mobs spawn at a decent rate, and the drop rates aren't too high, nor too low. I hope to see the server do well, but again, please listen to other posters, security and testing are very important in order to gain the trust of the players.
